It is not until after getting comfortable with that unfamiliar environment (visiting several times), that the dog may start being able to play with the toy again. Experiment with this as knowing what reinforcers work where is an important part of training dogs. Consider your dog's strongest motivators. Food. Toys. Interaction with you in the form of games. Massage. Any others she may have.
