Featured Sites Now Being Implemented ? - 12/15/2005
I agree, that there has to be some changes made! It is up to RM's to promote their ring as a Team, and not as an individual.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Would you care to expand and expound on your comment?

Best regards,

Each RingMaster has the ability to designate up to three featured Sites for a Ring. The featured Sites show above all other Sites on the Ring's Hub pgae.

The RingMaster is not required to list any featured Sites, nor is it required that the RingMaster charge for a listing either. The RingMaster can, if he/she chooses, charge a fee for placing a member Site. If a fee is charged the RingMaster is also not obligated to share that fee with WebRing.

If the RingMaster chooses to utilize the tools WebRing provides for managing featured Sites then WebRing will be responsible for:

Collecting payment from members (Paypal is a fast and convenient online payment system - see bottom). Payment must be deposited prior to listing.
Providing the RingMaster with a list of Sites willing to pay for listing that the RingMaster can then choose from, taking up to three, without being obligated to take those Sites.
Ensuring that at the start of each day the selected Sites have credit available.
Transferring the credit from member to RingMaster daily.
Providing interested members with cost and availability information.
In exchange for these services WebRing will take no more than 30% of the first $1.00 of the (monthly) fee, and will credit the RingMaster's account with the remainder. So, for example if the monthly fee is set at $1.00 then the member is charged $1.00, WebRing takes $0.30 and the RingMaster receives $0.70; if the fee was set at $2.00 then the member charge is $2.00, WebRing collects $0.30 and the RingMaster receives $1.70. This amount may go down with adequate participation. The more Rings that take advantage, the more the overhead is reduced. With 25% participation we would be able to lower the fee to $0.01 per Site per day.
The RingMaster is free to use the accumulated credit for any promotion on WebRing, not limited to the Ring that generated the credit. Additionally, if a RingMaster chooses, WebRing will pay a RingMaster the balance in their account provided the amount exceeds $25.00.

WebRing reserves the right to change the conditions of this program with atleast 60 days notice.

Are these still valid policy then?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply and information. Can you tell us where this is posted?

If the policy you posted has not changed then there are some real bugs in the System. I just figured that changes were being implemented pursuant to a previous post by WebRing back in Sept.

Thanks again for posting.

Best regards,
Lazarst

They do appear to be a little slow updating certain parts of the website.
