SSNB Required by Ringmaster or WebRing? - 03/12/2006
I just pulled one of my sites from the American Indians WebRing because I received a message that told me the RingMaster only allowed SSNB and not HTML code.
I manage two Webrings and both allow SSNB and HTML code. Both my rings have a 100% Rating. Is this wrong or what?
The RingMaster of the American Indians Webring is also a member of one of my rings and I am seriously considering suspending his site in retaliation. His home page even states that the nav bars load slowly. In this day and time, HTML code or external .CSS should be the standard and not javascript that loads slower.
Looking for advice and comments on this one please.

You could point out the inconsistency of his decision. He/She prefers SSNB; you prefer faster loading pages. I think the main reason managers prefer SSNB only is that if they change the navbar or title, then it is changed for all. Many people want ot put the navbar up once and then leave it.

Perhaps you could ask him for dispensation since you are also a manager that takes care of your rings and sites.

Wouldnt that just be pettyness? Every RingMaster manages there WebRings there own way, to suspend a member jsut because they dont allow HTML navcode is petty. IF they had been rude or nasty, thats different.

Exactly right! That's why I haven't done it , nor will I. Thanks for the eye opener.
