If you can't surf the Ring, what's the point?

A ring that cannot be surfed sequentially it not a RING. It is a STAR. But there is nothing wrong with being a STAR of course. The problem is people will need TWO clicks to surf to another site. And you know how it is these days: It is even difficult to get people to click on ONE link, let alone TWO
;)

It depends on what you are trying to do. If someone is trying to prevent scertain ads appearing on their sites, then a STAR might be what you want.

I've never heard that term. Interesting. Long ago there used to besome code the ring manager could install on their home site that allowed a ring to be surfed? Wonder if I can find it somewhere.

STAR is just the normal name for a network topology.
It sounds good though ;)
