Nobody from webring seems to be paying attention to the "members forum." The spam on there is days old and finding a relevant post is a "catch as catch can" task. Seems it would be a simple task to assign one person to check out that forum once a day. Give me the tools and I'll delete the spam on a daily basis...volunteer, no salary needed.

We do check it, but the spammers seem pretty assertive these days. We might consider allowing a member to moderate somewhat. We did try it once before with poor results, but we're generally game for another go at it.

Hi,

If I may make a suggestion, it might be a good idea to give an "assistant moderator(s)" a tool that only allows them only to move a post to a seperate forum set up for questionable posts. That way, if someone questions why their post was "removed", WebRing can have easy access to it for review.
